Tenant FAQ
This FAQ is for people who have a one year lease or longer.
1
How will I get access to the property?
Once the lease has been signed and the security deposit and first month's rent have been collected, you will be given the access code to the property via an automated email very early on the morning of your move-in.
2
Will I complete an initial walkthrough with you?
We take great pains to make sure your property is ready for you at move-in, however...since we do not live in any of the properties there are things we will miss. Every tenant has 7 days after their move in date to notify us of any issues they come across. We will address all functional issues.
3
I have a maintenance issue, what's my next step?
There are two ways to submit a maintenance request:
1) Via the tenant portal
2) Via email
Please include a detailed description of the problem and a picture if at all possible. Our maintenance coordinator will be in touch ASAP.

4
I have a maintenance issue outside of business hours. Who do I contact?
Non-emergency maintenance issues should be submitted via the tenant portal or email.

After hours emergency maintenance issues should be called in to the after hours maintenance team. You may send an email or submit a maintenance request second but calling the maintenance team should be your FIRST step.
5
What is after hours?
After hours is any time that is not Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm.
6
What qualifies as an emergency?
A fire. A flood. A large water leak. Basically, anything that can do major damage to the property. Other items that may qualify as emergencies are,
heat not working in the winter time, AC not working in the summer time.
7
I need a copy of my lease. Where can I find it?
Your lease can be found inside the tenant portal.
8
My lease is about to expire, what should I do?
If your lease is expiring within the next 90 days and you wish to renew, please let us know by sending an email. If your lease is expiring in the next 60-90 days and you do not wish to renew, please send us a notice to vacate via email.
9
If I decide to renew my lease, will my rent go up?
The answer to that question is property dependent.
10
I need to move but I'd like to stay with the Prosperity Homes Team...what are my options?
Please let us know as soon as possible so we can keep an eye out for other properties within our portfolio that you might be able to rent.
